Located in the Arts wing of BHCS, the IDEA Center is part classroom and part lab.

Students use the space for Tech class, projects with their homeroom teachers, and more.

This educational space was moved to its current home during campus-wide renovations in 2018 and 2019.

Fab Lab

The IDEA Center is a fully-equipped Fab Lab. Housed in a public school, our Lab is the first of its kind in New England.

Through grants and donations, we renovated the previous computer lab into a Fab Lab/maker space featuring a ShopBot PRSalpha CNC, ShopBot Desktop CNC milling machine, an Epilog laser cutter/engraver, a Roland vinyl cutter, and a DeltaWASP 2040 3D printer, in addition to a variety of traditional tools, power tools, robotics equipment, electronics components, and more.
