Uber Sail Tracking

As part of the day-long Maine Student Book Award Celebration at MMA in April focusing on ocean currents and what happens to things in the ocean, the four Union 93 schools have sponsored a mini-boat to be released in the Atlantic from MMA's training ship, the State of Maine, during their spring cruise.   Our mini-boat, Uber Sail, is equipped  with a GPS transmitter so it can be tracked by satellite as soon as it is released.  To follow the progress of T.S. State of Maine, you can check http://cruise2009.mma.edu.  Click on the daily log for 3 May 09 to see the mini-boats going on board.  Unfortunately the ship is still in Searsport due to engine trouble, but hopes to be underway again very soon!  Once Uber Sail is "launched," you can follow it at Uber Sail Tracking (link also in the School Info block).
