Scary Halloween Movie

Note from Shelley Latham - 10/6/08

8th Grade Scary Movie Project Update
I am serving as an Advisor/superviser on the 8th grade movie project. The fundraising screening is going to be at Town Hall, Halloween Night from 5-6 or 6:30 (multiple showings)  Tickets will be Adults $5, Kids $3 with a concession stand.

Please read to the end and make sure you reply so I know you got this!
It is important to me that the kids do most of the work on this film--parents and teachers are
providing guidance, support and supervision.   Filmmaking is a highly collaborative art where everyone’s talents are needed and each student has been given several jobs.  Our script team has come up with a great story about some scary candy-eating zombies.

Everyone is now engaged in pre-production activities (location scouting, storyboarding, makeup & costume design, promotion etc.) Next week we will begin shooting.  There are some things that can be filmed during a regular school day (recess & study hall periods) and the teachers will carve a large block of time on Friday the 17th but we will need to shoot the bulk of the movie on weekend days.

Passports NOT Needed for Montreal This Year

After a bit of investigation, the good news is that we will not need
passports next June to enter Canada. The authorities have moved the
deadline to 2009.
